Do you come to me, or do I have to bring the vehicle somewhere?

We come to you. Fresh Start Auto Glass is fully mobile, so we service your vehicle at your home, your workplace, or roadside. There's no storefront to visit and no waiting room. You pick the time and place that works best for you.

Do I need ADAS calibration after a windshield replacement?

In most late-model vehicles, yes. If your car has features like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, or adaptive cruise control, there's a forward-facing camera mounted to your windshield that has to be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. We'll tell you up front whether your specific vehicle needs it, and we perform the calibration in-house in the same visit.

Do you really do the calibration yourselves, or send it out?

We do it ourselves, in-house, on our own equipment, during the same appointment as your glass work. That's a key difference from many mobile installers who finish the glass and then send you to a dealership. With us, it's one appointment, with documented pre- and post-scans so you have proof the job was done right.

How long does a windshield replacement take?

A typical windshield replacement takes about 60 to 90 minutes. If your vehicle also needs ADAS calibration, plan for additional time on-site. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.

How soon can you come out?

In most cases we offer same-day or next-day service. A damaged windshield is a safety issue, so we prioritize getting to you quickly. Call (972) 482-0224 and we'll find the soonest slot that works.

Do you work with insurance?

Yes. We work directly with insurance and can walk you through the process. In Texas, many comprehensive policies cover glass damage, sometimes with a reduced or waived deductible for repairs. We also make it easy for cash and card customers who'd rather pay out of pocket. We'll help you compare both.

How much does windshield replacement cost?

It depends on your vehicle's year, make, and model, the type of glass, and whether ADAS calibration is required. That's why we give free, upfront quotes with no surprises. Call or request a quote online and we'll give you a clear price before any work begins.

Is mobile service more expensive than a shop?

No. Our mobile service is priced to compete with, and often beat, the national chains, with the added convenience of coming to you. You're not paying extra for us to show up; you're saving the time and hassle of a shop visit.

Do you use OEM or aftermarket glass?

We use quality glass that meets or exceeds safety standards for a proper, safe install. We can source OEM (original equipment manufacturer) glass when you want it or when your vehicle requires it. Just let us know your preference and we'll include it in your quote.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We warrant our installation against water leaks, wind noise, and loose moldings for as long as you own the vehicle. If one of these is caused by our work, we'll fix it at no charge. ADAS calibrations are warranted for 30 days: if your camera needs to be recalibrated within 30 days because of our calibration, we'll redo it at no charge. The calibration warranty covers the calibration only, not the camera or other sensor parts. The warranty doesn't cover glass broken by new impacts, stress cracks from outside causes, rust or body damage, damage from later accidents or repairs by others, or manufacturer defects in the glass, which are covered by the glass maker. Chip repairs aren't guaranteed to be invisible. If a chip we repaired spreads, we'll credit the repair cost toward a replacement.

Can a chip be repaired, or do I need a full replacement?

It depends on the size, depth, and location. As a general rule, chips smaller than a quarter and cracks that aren't in your direct line of sight or at the glass edge can often be repaired. Repair is faster and cheaper, and it saves your factory windshield. We'll give you an honest assessment, not an upsell.

How long until I can drive after a windshield replacement?

Usually about an hour, so the adhesive can reach a safe drive-away strength, though it varies with conditions and the adhesive used. If your vehicle needs ADAS calibration, we complete that before we leave. We'll give you exact instructions before we finish.

Can I take my car through a car wash after a windshield replacement?

Not right away. Give it a few days before an automatic car wash, especially the high-pressure kind, so the adhesive holding your new windshield has time to fully cure. Cure time depends on the adhesive used and the weather, so we'll tell you exactly how long to wait before we leave.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the north and northwest Dallas-Fort Worth metro from our base in Little Elm and Oak Point, including Frisco, McKinney, Denton, Plano, Lewisville, The Colony, Prosper, Flower Mound, and many more. We also cover an extended area to the east, including Garland, Rowlett, Rockwall, and Forney, where a trip fee may apply. We'll include it in your free quote. Not sure if you're in range? Call (972) 482-0224 and ask.
